Leon Jamaer verbrachte 2 Wochen auf Sal ohne einen einzigen Tag Windsurfen gehen zu können. Wie fast immer – am letzten Tag stimmte die Vorhersage. Leon machte sich noch vor Sonnenaufgang auf den Weg zum Strand, doch es dauerte Stunden bis sich zum mächtigen Swell auch nur ein bisschen Wind gesellte.

Irgendwie schaffte es Leon über den Shorebreak, holte sich ein paar Wellen bevor er hektisch seinen Stuff in ein Taxi einlud und zum Airport heizte. Das Video zu einer “handvoll Wellen” in 2 Wochen Sal findet ihr unten.

Leon Jamaer spent 2 weeks on Sal without scoring a single decent windsurf session. For the day he had to leave, a big swell was forecasted. Leon was on the beach before sunrise and it took a few hours until the wind filled in just a little.

Somehow, Leon made it out through the shorebreak and scored a few waves before he had to leave the water, got all the gear in a taxi and head to the airport.
